Boy, that's a weird title, right? What does that even mean?
Well, Sturm und Drang is a proto-Romantic movement in German literature and music that took place some 200 years ago, named after a play written by some German guy probably. It translates to "Storm and Stress" roughly.
But that's not the weird part. Yesterday I finished a book, wherein one of the main characters is named Sturm. Today, I started reading a new book that I literally just randomly pick off the shelf of the ISU library, and almost immediately I see the phrase "sturm und drang" used in this book. I think to myself, "huh, that's weird that I would see the word 'sturm' used in two different contexts in two days."
Not two hours after seeing that phrase written in this book that I literally just plucked off the shelf at random, I'm watching a show on Netflix, and someone says "Oh, spare us the sturm and drang."
SERIOUSLY?! This is a sign! God wanted me to know that phrase! I've never heard this phrase before in my life. I've never even heard any of the words before. WHAT ARE THE ODDS I WOULD SEE IT TWICE IN ONE DAY???
Okay, that's all. If any of you have any theories as to why God saw fit to insert this random phrase into my life, I'd love to hear it.
